I just finished The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC game). I actually played first (again) The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, of which I still have the original CD's, though it came included with the later installment as well.
I love both games. The Riddick character is awesome. And I specially love this weapon: The Saber Claws. The design is great, like a mixture between a martial arts ninja kinda weapon and a survival Rambo style knife. Looks mean and deadly, and as a dual weapon even more so.
I decided to make some new icons for my collection, just as an excuse to model the Saber Claws (btw, they're not exactly like the in-game blades, or the ones you can buy online from people like teraasekeskus.com and swordsofmight.com - I made my own version).
Looking at the icon, I think it also works as a valentine's icon hehehe. I tried a different setup, but the blades ended up looking like a pair of scissors :)
Modeled in 3ds Max 2009, rendered using Mental Ray. About three hours of work + render.
The grip is a displacement map I painted in Photoshop.

como hiciste el fondo del cuadrito azul, es que es igual al icono de Photoshop

:) Solo busque una tipografia parecida e hice un gradiente en Photoshop parecido al del icono.

como no se me ocurrió lo de la gradiente.
ups
es que casi no uso los efectos f(x), pero recuerdo que habia una opción para mover el ángulo de la gradiente, ais debe ser como se saca la gradiente inclinada sin usar un cuadrito de office
