After looking at the movie, and the beautiful rendition of the Gargantua Black Hole in Interstellar, I wanted to see just how dificult it would be to make something from scratch similar to that image.
Well... I'm aware this is not at the same level visually, but I'm not a matte painter in their budget, and this was done in about an hour and a half. So I think it's pretty decent nevertheless
Painter solely in Photoshop, including the star field in the back. This was mostly the twirl and sphery filters. Lot's of masks. And some painting with my tablet (mostly the small planets being drawn into the black hole ).
This would not be a black hole as massive as the one in the movie, which is about 100 million times the size of the sun. In fact, it would be a rather small one if you use the planets being absorbed as a reference
Sorry about the watermark... but you know how it goes!
I have a much larger size available if you want it for a wallpaper (3058x20590at 150dpi - but it will still have a watermark on it, the small multiprocr.com one), and if you want it for something else WITHOUT a watermark, well, you can also contact me so we can talk business
. Get in touch with me through my website www.multiprocr.com contact form.
I will not reply to request through deviantart messaging! So don't waste your time.
